I grew up in New York City. At college I spent most of my time in the studios and designing stage scenery for the theater.
Then practiced law in Maine for 35 years. Once retired in 2015, I took up the brush again and have been painting ever since out of my studio in Brunswick. Oil and acrylics, landscapes and portraits.
The work must speak for itself. Although there may be a back story or a connection to a particular location or person, a piece of art must stand on its own without the words we use to try to explain meaning or significance. Just look and see.
